The Hullavington Weekly: Bluegrass, Big Screens, and Latest News!

Hello Hullavington! It is a packed week in the village with something for the music lovers, the movie buffs, and the trivia titans. Here is what you need to know to make the most of our community this week.

🎬 Lights, Camera, Action!

This Wednesday, we’re heading to the dark side—cinematically speaking! Pop along to the village hall for Film Night featuring a brilliant Black Comedy, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Newman. It’s the perfect mid-week tonic.

🪕 Bluegrass is Coming to Town

Get ready to tap your toes to Baby Mackerel, a top-tier English Bluegrass band. Expect high-energy and soulful harmonies.

🧠 Put Your Thinking Caps On!

The legendary Quiz Night is fast approaching! These sessions are always a sell-out and the competition is “friendly” (but fierce!). Make sure you book your seats now to avoid disappointment.

🛒 Last Call: Our Shop & Post Office Survey

This is your final chance to have your say! Our local shop and Post Office are the heart of the village, and we need your input to ensure they thrive. The survey closes this week—don’t let the deadline pass without sharing your thoughts. 👉 Find the Survey Here

❤️ Heartbeat of the Village: New External Defibrillator

Great news from the Parish Council! The Village Hall defibrillator has been moved to a new external cabinet, making it available 24/7. This was a true community effort involving Ford Fuels, Harry Dicks’ oil scheme, and a generous local electrician. 👉 Full details on the Parish Council Website News page.

⚠️ Road Closure Alert: Norton Road

A quick “heads up” for those on the move: we are expecting a road closure this Wednesday and Thursday at Cemetery Corner on Norton Road.

This is to address the persistent surface issues, hopefully this is a vital step toward a permanent fix. We are waiting on the final formal notification from Wiltshire Council and will post the full details as soon as they land!

See you at the film night!
