The Hullavington Weekly: Bluegrass Echoes, 6 Nations, and Village Life

Hello Hullavington! What a fantastic week it’s been. From the high-energy strings of bluegrass to the upcoming roar of the rugby, there is plenty to celebrate and even more to look forward to.

🏉 Rugby & Roasts: 6 Nations Kick-off

The 6 Nations is finally here! To celebrate the start of the tournament on Saturday the 7th, we have a very special guest. The “We Meat Again” food van will be on-site to keep you fuelled while you cheer on your team. Come for the rugby, or the food!

🧠 Save the Date: Friday night is Quiz Night

Our legendary Quiz Night is fast approaching! Whether you’re a trivia titan or just in it for the raffle, it’s always a brilliant night out. Seats are already starting to fill up, so head over to the What’s On Page to secure your table before they’re all gone.

📚 Help Our Little Owls: Volunteers Needed

A love of reading is a habit for life, and our local school is looking for volunteers to help the children get started on that journey. If you have an hour or two a week to spare and would like to listen to the children read, it makes a world of difference to their confidence and progress. 👉 Interested? Please contact :-Email admin@hullavington.wilts.sch.uk  or Tel 01666 837604

🛠️ Support Local: Trades & Services Directory

We have just updated the Trades and Services list on the village website! From plumbers to painters, it’s now easier than ever to find local help.

  • Have a business? We are always looking to add more local names to the list. If you provide a service in the area, please get in touch so we can include you.

⚠️ Road Closure Warning: Monday 2nd – Unlikely but possible!

A quick “heads up” for those planning to travel tomorrow. We have received word of a possible road closure on the right turn by cemetery corner between 9:45 AM and 2:45 PM.

Note: Our latest intel suggests this is unlikely to go ahead, but we wanted to warn you just in case! Keep an eye on Hullavington’s Facebook page for real-time updates if the barriers do start to move.

All the best

Sarah and Debbie
