The Hullavington Weekly: Soup, Songs, and Shaping the Future!

It is a busy week in the village with plenty of reasons to get together—whether it’s to stay warm, stay informed, or just enjoy a bit of live music. Here is your guide to what’s happening.

💡 Power Cuts: Stay Warm & Stay ConnectedThursday 5th March

A reminder that some residents will experience a scheduled power cut this week. Please note: this power cut only applies to those who have received a formal letter through their door. If you are affected, or even if you’re not, don’t sit in the cold! We are opening the Church Meeting Room as a “Warm Hub” for the duration.

  • The Perks: A hot cup of tea or coffee will be waiting for you.
  • Lunch: We’ll be serving hot soup at lunchtime to keep everyone fuelled.
  • Connectivity: The Wi-Fi will be fully operational, so if you need to work or just want to browse the news, bring your devices along!

🎸 Friday Night: Get Your Toes Tapping!

Start your weekend on a high note with the return of the Pagoda Band. They’ll be performing this Friday night from 7:00 PM. If you’ve heard them before, you know it’s going to be a fantastic evening of music and community spirit. If you haven’t—come along and find out what the fuss is about! Tickets on the door.

🗺️ Saturday: The Future of Our Village (9 AM – 1 PM)

This is the big one. We are hosting a major event regarding the Neighbourhood Development Plan.

  • Meet the Team: Members of the development team will be on hand to answer your questions.
  • Have Your Say: This is your vital chance to provide feedback on how our village should evolve.
  • The Hub: From 11:00 AM, the Hub will be running in the church, making it a thoroughly community-focused morning. Come for the maps, stay for the cake!

🏉 Saturday Afternoon: Six Nations Fever

Once the planning maps are folded away, head over to the Village Hall for the rugby. We’ll be showing the Six Nations action on the big screen starting from 1:40 PM. Whether you’re cheering a team or just enjoy the atmosphere, all are welcome.
