Hullavington Weekly: Rock, Resilience, and Security

What an incredible night! A massive thanks to KD Rivers and TruGrit for a masterclass in live music plus all the volunteers who made it happen. With a packed hall and electric energy, Hullavington is officially the place to be for live gigs.

🛡️ Stay Safe Online: A Special WI Community Event

Wednesday, 15th April | 2:00 PM | Village Hall

The Hullavington WI is throwing open its doors to everyone for a vital presentation from the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust. In an increasingly digital world, staying secure at home and on your devices has never been more important. Since 1998, the Trust has worked with Wiltshire Police to protect residents, and their “Stay Safe Online” volunteers are experts in providing:

  • Digital Security Awareness: Practical tips for your computer, tablet, and phone.
  • Scam Prevention: How to identify and avoid the latest sophisticated scams.
  • Privacy Settings: Simple, hands-on advice for checking your digital footprint.
  • Home Security: Trusted guidance on keeping your property physically safe.

This event is completely free to all, and in true WI fashion, there will be delicious homemade cakes and refreshments to enjoy. While entry is free, any donations to the WI to support their community work are warmly welcomed.

🗓️ Also This Week

  • Parish Council Meeting: Our ordinary mid-month agenda will include ongoing Highways resilience and our Best Kept Village entry. Residents are always welcome to attend.

🚧 Roadworks Update: The Home Stretch

We are now in the last week of Vistry’s two-week closure of The Street. We will all be pleased once the various highways works are complete!

  • Monday, 13th April: There is a single-day closure (9:30 am – 3:00 pm) to repair the road surface from the OpenReach works.
  • Transport: A two-hourly bus service will run that day from the Library bus stop.

Hullavington: Safe, connected, and definitely musical. See you at the Hall on the 15th!
