In May a wonderful group of volunteers came together to help give the shop a little facelift and to explore ways to encourage more people to make use of everything it offers. With community support, we are confident we can help ensure the shop continues to thrive for years to come.
More recently our volunteers have been very active – tidying, dusting, weeding, painting, planting, providing doggie treats, improving signage, helping out in the shop, liaising with Buckley Barrack, fitting a grab rail and doorbell for those people who need a little help accessing the shop, and our very successful launch of the pre-order breads, pastries (sweet & savoury) and confectionery items.

LAUNCH WEEK FEEDBACK:
Customers said: “my Belgium bun was delicious, so huge I had to eat it in two sessions”; “the fresh Harvester loaf was light with a perfect crusty crust and freezes well”; “the chicken and chorizo pasty was simply the best”; but the icing on the cake (pardon the pun) for those volunteers in the shop, was a 3-year old who was so excited to be collecting his very own Pain au Chocolate!
