Hullavington Village Store

Living in a village is a privilege, and having local amenities on our doorstep adds so much to the convenience and enjoyment of daily life. Hullavington is fortunate to have its own village shop, and it’s important that we all do what we can to support this valuable community resource.

A wonderful group of volunteers has come together to help give the shop a little facelift and to explore ways to encourage more people to make use of everything it offers. With community support, we can help ensure the shop continues to thrive for years to come.

Hullavington volunteers at work!

Was great to have the support of some of the Hullavington Village Store volunteers group today! The eleven of us, tidied, weeded, swept, cleaned, planted, painted, and importantly, laughed together as we worked! We made a great start and hope that you will notice a difference. Will be in touch shortly about fresh local produce delivered to the store …………

LAUNCH WEEK FEEBACK:

Customers said: “my Belgium bun was delicious, so huge I had to eat it in two sessions”; “the fresh Harvester loaf was light with a perfect crusty crust and freezes well”; “the chicken and chorizo pasty was simply the best”; but the icing on the cake (pardon the pun) for those volunteers in the shop, was a 3-year old who was so excited to be collecting his very own Pain au Chocolate

Sorry to the many walk-in customers who hadn’t pre-ordered but wanted to grab a fresh doughnut, tiffin, or sourdough – I think I have you all on the list now!

We will continue to refine the system but bear in mind we are volunteers helping Paul out, however two immediate quick wins from last week (easily readable product list & some additional products) so keep the feedback / ideas flowing!

Jan Lloyd, on behalf of the Shop Volunteer Group, Hullavington Community Benefits Society

With thanks to each and every volunteer, including those working behind the scenes on spreadsheets, website development, production of new form, etc, and those making it happen on the day e.g., the ‘Baker Boys’ who collected the bread, working in the shop, etc – WE ARE A COMMUNITY SUPPORTING OUR SHOP!
