🏆 Village Show Success!
We’re delighted to share that the Hullavington Garage & Village Store Cup, awarded to the best exhibit by a child under 16, was won by Hector – and his parents have kindly given us permission to share the news! Hector recreated an ancient Egyptian game called Senet, using wood, clay and board, beautifully decorated with hieroglyphs and Egyptian artwork. Well done, Hector – a fantastic achievement! 👏

🎒 Back to School
With youngsters heading back to school soon, Sharon has been making sure we have some useful school and household essentials in stock. You’ll find items such as pencils, highlighters, Blu Tack, Sellotape, needle and thread for name labels, and more. Pop in and have a look – you may find just what you need!

🥧 Sweet Treats & Savouries
Our delicious Cakesmiths traybakes and savouries from JGK Butchers & Deli – including pies, sausage rolls, pasties and gala pie – were a big hit last week and we sold out! Good news – more stock will be available from midday on Tuesday & you don’t need to pre-order so why not pop in and treat yourself?

☕ Sit, Chat & Catch Up
It was lovely to hear so many positive comments about the additional chairs and cushions placed outside the shop last week – before the rain started! People said they felt they were welcoming and comfortable, and even better, we saw lots of people using them to sit, chat and catch up with friends and neighbours. That’s exactly what a village shop should be about!

☕ Coming Soon… Hot Drinks!
For those of you with an eagle eye, you may have spotted our rather smart coffee machine! It has been kindly gifted to us by Bovis Homes at Buckley Place, and we’re getting everything ready. Very soon you’ll be able to pop in and buy a cuppa & perhaps even a cake. More details to follow when we’re ready to launch!

Don’t forget the Shop is closed today as its Bank Holiday, but will open at 8am tomorrow. Thank you for continuing to support our village shop and post office – every visit really does make a difference. ❤️
