Happy Monday Hullavington & Welcome to you weekly update from your Village Shop!

SAVOURIES, SANWICHES, CAKES: there was a really good uptake on the lovely Munchaway Sandwiches so we have ordered a few more for this week – they will be in the shop from around 11.30am today so perfect to grab and go for lunch and why not take advantage of our new Coffee machine – with perhaps a piece of cake to follow! Our JGK Butchers & Deli Savouries are providing a real hit so have ordered a wider range – again get in there fast as there is no need to pre-order these!

COMMUNITY SHOP? Thanks to the many people who came and chatted to Rosie and I on Saturday as part of the NDP Public Meeting. We got some really positive feedback, as well as some good ideas, so will be sharing that shortly. We also got a few more people signing up as VOLUNTEERS so thanks so much!

A TASTE OF NASTALGIA! We now all look forward to the weekly promotion Sharon does for us and this week it is all about ‘classic Family, School, Comfort’ food, including:
• Spam 🥫 — the quick tea legend
• Corned beef 🥫 — hash, sandwiches, memories
• Fray Bentos pies 🥧 — tin pie magic
• Rice pudding 🍮 — creamy comfort
• Evaporated milk 🥛 — retro sweetness
• Jelly 🍧 — colourful wobble joy

All available in the shop – we look forward to hearing about your memories and recipes!

SATURDAY OPENING HOURS (WINTER) – with the darker, wetter days, ahead of us, we have taken the decision to CLOSE a little earlier on Saturday as we know it is quiet with people not wanting to venture outside! So starting from 27th September hours will be 8.30am to 2pm, so set your alarm and don’t forget to pick up your weekend essentials whilst you are picking up your pre-order Old Bakehouse & Michael’s items!
