❄️ Winter Warmers
With last week’s storms, darker evenings and cooler days, now is the perfect time to stock up on items to help beat the cold. The Shop has plenty of practical winter essentials, including hand & foot warmers, gloves, firelighters, candles, matches and more. You’ll also find a great range of comforting foods, such as soups, baked beans and other tinned favourites. And don’t forget our hot drinks machine, offering coffee, tea, hot chocolate, Cup-a-Soup and Pot Noodles to help keep you warm on the go. For those who enjoy a little tipple on a winter’s evening, we also stock a good selection of brandy, whisky, port, wine and other drinks.
🏪 Community-run Shop in the Future?
We are pleased to let you know that the Hullavington Benefit Society Management Committee is continuing to work closely with owner Paul to explore the possibility of the Shop becoming community-run in the future. With support from Plunkett UK, our Business Plan is progressing well, and we hope to share more information with you soon. One thing is certain: if the community takes on the Shop, we will need more volunteers to work alongside our paid staff. Many people have said they would help if and when it becomes community-run, but why not find out now what volunteering involves & that will help us become more confident?
